STATSGO DATA ANALYST: VIEW |
Once a view has been created, the view menu includes a new pull-down menu with the name of 'STATSGO'. This menu includes four options: Linking, Legend, Help and About. The Help starts the help program, which runs independently of ArcView in NT however on UNIX runs as part of ArcView. Each help looks different. The About Box shows a traditional about box that dismisses in 10 seconds. The Legend selection is currently unavailable in this beta version. The Linking properties selection calls the Linking Dialog. |

The Linking Dialog presents the user
with all available views and if the state is Linked/Unlinked. The reason for linking is
this: To do the Analysis in this program the different databases need to be able to relate
to each other, and through linking this can be accomplished, however this slows down
operations. When the linking is not required it is suggested that the view and attributes
table are unlinked from the comp and layer tables to speed up program operation. REMEMBER: The state must be linked before Analysis begins. Next Section: TABLES |
